Tips for joining the zoom classroom

10 minutes before class starts, go to the Wildflowers Yoga Virtual Class Room (PASSWORD: lovenature).

There is only one Zoom space for ALL of our classes.

A window should pop up that asks “Open zoom.us?” Click on the Open zoom.us button.

From a computer, you don’t need to download Zoom. Just join the meeting.

From a phone or tablet, you WILL need to download the Zoom app.
Choose the Zoom Cloud Meeting app that has a white camera on a blue background, with the camera facing the right.

THE LONG VERSION (with more explanations, which have arisen from student questions):

Go to the schedule tab on our website and choose the class you want to sign up for.
This will lead you to our cart page. All classes are in US EST times and you can join us from anywhere in the world.

→ If you’ve never taken a class with us before, follow the cart page prompts and create a new Momence profile then sign up and pay for classes.

→ If you’ve taken classes with us before but have never scheduled online and are having difficulty of any kind, please contact us by email ( info@wildflowersyoga.com ) or just proceed to the Zoom link 10 minutes before class starts and the teacher or host will help you figure it out.

Do not miss out on the class because you haven’t figured out how to pay.
We will help, so long as the teacher or host can identify you (make sure your name accurately listed on your Zoom profile or let the teacher know your name when you join the Zoom classroom).

→ From a computer, you do NOT need to download Zoom. Just join the meeting.

→ From a phone or tablet, you WILL need to download the Zoom app. Choose the Zoom Cloud Meeting app that has a white camera on a blue background, with the camera facing the right. If, after you’ve downloaded the app on your phone, it asks what the Zoom meeting number is, it’s 499-151-9010 and the password is 036291

→ A window should pop up that asks “Open zoom.us?” Click on the Open zoom.us button.

→ If you don’t get that window, click as directed by your computer.

→ If you are prompted to choose a name for your Zoom identity, please use your same name that is in MindBody so we can identify you.

→ Once Zoom is launched, a box will pop up that leads you to click on Join With Computer Audio. Click on that and you will join the meeting. It may take a few moments for your audio to connect.

→ To start the video so we can see you (it is a nice way to connect), drag your cursor to the bottom left-hand corner where it should say Start Video. Click on that. If you don’t want to be seen and don’t want to keep your camera on during your practice, no worries, and don’t click on it. You can still talk and check in with everyone with your camera off (as long as your mic is unmuted.)

→ When you sign into the class your audio will automatically be muted. Right before class starts the teacher will unmute all people to check in. Please feel free to turn your audio on to talk with your teacher and community. You can find your audio button on the bottom left of the page if you drag your cursor there. When class is going to start the teacher will mute everyone for the duration of the class. You can unmute if you have a question.

→ On the top right-hand corner there is an icon to create a full screen. You can choose to do so or not.

→ Just to the left of the full screen icon at the very top right corner of your screen is a choice for either Speaker View or Gallery View. Gallery View is an icon that looks like a box made of 9 squares and will show everyone in equally sized boxes, spread over one or more pages, depending on how large the class is. Speaker View will make one person the main image (hopefully, the teacher) with small images of other students on top.

→ If there are technical difficulties, there is the opportunity to Chat with the people who are in the class. Please find the Host in the class and send them a chat to let them know what’s going on.

→ To leave the meeting at the end of class, drag your cursor to the far right of the screen, where it says Leave Meeting.
